Travel within NZ is allowed at every traffic light setting. We recommend reviewing the latest recommendations and restrictions guidance on the Government Covid-19 site.
You can stay at Holiday Houses properties at all traffic light settings. Some owners may require My Vaccine Pass. They'll let you know in advance if this is required for your stay.
At any traffic light setting, do not travel if:
- You're symptomatic.
- You've been to a listed location of interest.
- You're a close contact of a positive case.
- You're awaiting a test result (other than routine surveillance testing).
- You need to self-isolate.
What if I can't travel?
Every situation is different, so just reach out to the owner. You can chat about cancelling, or moving your stay – whatever works best for your situation.
They can make these changes from their end online and process any refunds (if applicable). If you've been charged a $75 Holiday Houses cancellation fee, please let us know so we can refund this.
Will I be refunded if I have to cancel my stay?
We strongly encourage all property owners to refund any guest that is unable to travel due to Government-imposed restrictions.
Check out our COVID-19 cancellation policy.
What if I need to self-isolate during my stay?
If the Ministry of Health has ordered you to isolate, reach out to the property owner. Let them know if you've been ordered to isolate, and chat about the possibility of extending your stay.
What if the traffic light settings change before my stay?
You can stay at Holiday Houses properties at all traffic light settings. Some property owners may require My Vaccine Pass for guests, depending on the current traffic light setting.
If you have questions about what this means for your booking, just reach out to the owner.
